Dryer gas burner valve solenoid set. If the dryer does not heat or heats intermittently the coils could be defective. To test, watch the burner and if the igniter glows for a while and then shuts off without the gas igniting, it usually means one of these coils is bad.

Dryer drum drive belt. Length 93 3/8”, width 3/8”, characteristics, 5 ridges, flat. The drive belt is a very long, slender belt that wraps all the way around the dryer drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor pulley.

Dryer drum support roller. The rollers tend to wear at the same rate so both should be replaced while the dryer is apart.

Dryer drum glide pad. Drum glides help to support the front of the dryer drum as it rotates. If the drum glides are worn out, the dryer will be noisy. Because the glides wear out at the same time, you should replace all of the glides together.

Idler pulley wheel and bearing assembly. The idler pulley puts tension on the drive belt. If the idler pulley fails to put the proper amount of tension on the belt, the dryer will not spin.

Dryer thermal fuse. If the dryer overheats, the thermal fuse blows to cut off power to the dryer. If the thermal fuse has blown, the dryer won't start. The thermal fuse cannot be reset—if the fuse has blown, it must be replaced.

Dryer idler pulley assembly. If the dryer drum does not turn check if the idler pulley is rotating freely and putting.
